The current research aimed at testing the psychometric properties of learned helplessness scale among male and female high school students (general - technical). The sample consisted of (173: 84 males, 89 females) students at high schools (general - technical) within Baharia Oasis educational district located in Giza. They were between (15 - 18) years of age (Mean age= 16.39; SD= 1.063). The researcher utilized the following statistical methods: internal consistency, validity of arbitrators/specialists and concurrent validity for calculating the scale validity. Both Cronbach's alpha coefficient and test-retest methods were utilized for ranking reliability. Results concluded that the scale was of high internal consistency, arbitration validity and concurrent validity. Additionally, it was of high reliability. This confirms its efficiency in measuring learned helplessness among high school students (general – technical) and increases trust related to its administration related findings.
