هدف البحث الحالي إلى تعرف دور الجمعية الإسلامية بإسبانيا في مواجهة تحديات الأقلية المسلمة هناك، والوقوف على النواحي الإيجابية والسلبية لأنشطة الجمعية، والكشف عن كيفية نشأة تلك الجمعية وأهم أهدافها وتحديد القوى والعوامل المؤثرة فيها. واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي والنقدي لتحقيق الأهداف السابقة. وكشفت نتائج البحث عن تشابه الأهداف العامة والخاصة للجمعيات والمراكز الإسلامية في إسبانيا كافة والتي جاءت في معظمها غير واضحة وغير محددة، كما تبين أن الاهتمامات التعليمية والاجتماعية جاءت في مقدمة أنشطة الجمعية الإسلامية، وأن الندوات الثقافية والدينية المقدمة هادفة ولها تأثير ايجابي على كثير من المترددين على الجمعية. ومع ذلك فثمة مجموعة من السلبيات التي تعيق عمل الجمعية؛ يتعلق بعضها بالجهات الرسمية الإسبانية التي تتعامل مع الجمعية الإسلامية والبعض الآخر يتعلق بالجمعية ذاتها. وقد تبين أن موضـوع الأقليـات مـن الموضـوعات الـشائكة في سـاحة البحـث منـذ عقود فترة التسعينيات بـسب القــضايا المــستجدة الــتي يطلــب مجتمــع الأقليــة فيهــا إحقــاق حقوقــه الــتي تحفظــه مــن الاضطرابات التي يواجهها العالم.

Abstract
The current research aimed to identify the role of the Islamic Association in Spain in facing the challenges of the Muslim minority there, the positive and negative aspects of the association's activities, reveal how the association was established and its most important objectives, and to identify the forces and factors affecting it. The researcher used the descriptive and critical approach to achieve the previous objectives. The results of the research revealed the similarity of the general and private objectives of all Islamic societies and centers in Spain, which were mostly unclear and undefined. The results also showed that educational and social concerns come at the forefront of the activities of the Islamic Society, and that the cultural and religious seminars presented are purposeful and have a positive impact on many of those who visit Association. However, there are a number of negatives that hinder the work of the association, some of which relate to formal Spanish parties that deal with the Islamic Association, and others are related to the association itself. The issue of minorities has proven to be one of the thorniest topics in the research arena since the decades of the nineties due to the emerging issues in which the minority community demands the realization of its rights that protect it from the turmoil facing the world.
