استهدف البحث الحالي وضع آليات مقترحة لتفعيل دور الجامعات المصرية في مجال خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة على ضوء تصنيف كيوإس للجامعات العالمية ، واعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي ، وعلى استبانة مكونة من (29) عبارة موجهة لعينة قوامها (469) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالكليات العملية والنظرية بالجامعات المستهدفة، وخلص البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج ، أهمها : أن درجة تحقق واقع دور الجامعات المصرية في  مجال خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة على ضوء تصنيف كيوإس للجامعات العالمية جاءت بدرجة متوسطة ،  كما أن هناك مجموعة من المعوقات التى تعوق تحقيق دور الجامعات المصرية في خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة على ضوء تصنيف كيوإس للجامعات العالمية ، ومن أهمها  : ضعف استفادة مؤسسات الأعمال بالمجتمع من البحوث المنشورة بالجامعة ، وقلة السماح لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بالعمل كمستشارين لدى المؤسسات الإنتاجية بما يعود بفائدة مالية للجامعة ، وعدم وجود آلية لتسويق نتائج البحث العلمي للمستثمرين وأصحاب الأعمال بالمجتمع ،ووجود قصور في  اللوائح والتشريعات  الجامعية التى تنظم العلاقة بين الجامعة والمجتمع ، مما أدى إلى ضعف الشراكة بين الجامعة والمجتمع ، وضعف ارتباط البحوث الجامعية بخدمة قطاعات العمل والإنتاج في المجتمع .
Summary
The current research aimed to develop proposed mechanisms to activate the role of Egyptian universities in the field of community service and environmental development in the light of the QS Ranking of world universities. The research concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are: The degree of realization of the reality of the role of Egyptian universities in the field of community service and environmental development in the light of the the QS Ranking of world universities came to a medium degree, and there are a set of obstacles that hinder the realization of the role of Egyptian universities in community service And the development of the environment in light of the the QS Ranking of world universities, the most important of which are: the weak benefit of business institutions in the community from the research published in the university, and the lack of permission for faculty members to work as advisors in productive institutions, which brings financial benefit to the university, and the absence of a mechanism for marketing the results of scientific research to investors and business owners in the community. And the existence of shortcomings in university regulations and legislation that regulate the relationship between the university and the community, which led to the weakness of the partnership between the university and the university Collectiveness, and the weak link of university research with serving the work and production sectors in society.
