The Level of Awareness of Digital Citizenship Values
among Middle and High School Students
in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah
Abstract:
The study aimed to know the level of awareness of digital citizenship values among middle and high school students in Madinah It adopted descriptive approach by applying a survey consisting of three axes that represent digital citizenship values (digital respect, digital knowledge, and digital protection). The sample consisted of 1660 individuals. The results showed a high level of awareness of all values among students. No statistically significant differences could be attributed to the study variables: the school stage and the educational level of parents. On the other hand, female students appeared higher awareness of digital citizenship values than male students. Finally, the study recommended The need to raise awareness of digital citizenship values at all levels.
