A proposed conception to include the system of scientific values of citizenship in the science curricula for the preparatory stage in Egypt in the light of the challenges of the twenty-first century
Abstract:
This study aimed to present a proposed scenario to include the system of scientific values of citizenship in the science curricula for the three grades of the preparatory stage in Egypt with the challenges of the twenty-first century, where a list of these scientific values was reached, and then arranged hierarchically in the form of a system for the three grades of the preparatory stage, and a method was used. Content Analysis; To be explored in the science curricula for each class separately, By using an analysis tool prepared for this purpose, the science curricula were analyzed in terms of: objectives, content, activities involved, exercise questions, and teacher guides, and the study found The level of inclusion of the scientific values of citizenship in the science curricula for the three grades of the preparatory stage in Egypt was less than (70%), which is the acceptable level specified in this study. Therefore, the study recommended the need to pay attention to the emotional aspect in general and the scientific values of citizenship, especially when preparing and planning science curricula for the preparatory stage.
