Abstract
The research aimed to develop the life skills of the sixth grade elementary students, through designing an enrichment program based on constructivist theory. To achieve the research objective, the researcher followed the semi-experimental method to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. After evaluating the data effectiveness of the research, it has applied on a sample consisted of (33) students for the experimental group. After collecting the data, statistical treatments were conducted and the researchers concluded that there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the pretest and posttest in the skills test in favor to the posttest, where the coefficient T (- 2.74) at the degree of (32) and a level of significance (0.010), which is smaller than (0.05). Therefore, that indicates the effectiveness of the enrichment program based on the constructivist theory in the development of life skills of sixth grade primary students.
The researchers recommended the following:
- Avoidance the use of old teaching methods and encouraging the use of modern methods that depend on the learner's participation in the learning process.
- Applying the principles of constructivist theory in teaching the family courses over the different stages of education, because of its effectiveness in the development of skills among learners.
- Encourage teachers to use educational activities that develop the life skills of learners.
