A suggested proposal for enhancing the cultural climate of knowledge sharing among faculty members to improve the quality of work life in Egyptian universities
ABSTRACT:
The research aimed to achieve the following:
1- Defining the conceptual framework of knowledge sharing in universities.
2- Standing on the concept of quality of work life in universities.
3- Uncovering the reality of the cultural climate of knowledge sharing among faculty members in Egyptian universities.
4- Standing on the role of knowledge sharing in improving the quality of work life from the point of view of faculty members in Egyptian universities.
5- Developing a proposed vision to enhance the cultural climate for knowledge sharing among faculty members in Egyptian universities, in order to improve the quality of work life.
Research methodology and tool:
The research used the descriptive approach to describe and analyze the concept of knowledge sharing and the concept of quality of work life. As well as to reveal the reality of the cultural climate of knowledge sharing among faculty members in Egyptian universities and the role of knowledge sharing in improving the quality of work life, using the questionnaire tool directed to faculty members to reveal this reality and clarify that role.
Community and sample of research:
The research community is represented infaculty members in Egyptian universities, and a random sample of faculty members was selected in some of these universities, in which diversity was taken into account in terms of the universities to which they belong, as well as diversity according to the variables of gender, specialization, academic degree, and years of experience.
At the end of the research, a proposed scenario was proposed to enhance the cultural climate for knowledge sharing in a way that improves the quality of work life in Egyptian universities, based on the results of the theoretical study and field research. The proposed vision included several dimensions: the organizational dimension, the motivational dimension, the social dimension, and the technological dimension.
