Abstract:
The study aimed to evaluate the teaching performance of Arabic language teachers at the primary stage in Qena Governorate in light of lateral thinking skills, the study sample consisted of (25) teachers, and alist of lateral thinking skills needed for Arabic language teachers in the sixth grade, the study prepared an opservation card for lateral thinking skills to note the performance Arabic language teachers in the sixth grade in the three stages of the teaching process represented in planning,implementation and evaluation,the study found the following results weak use of lateral thinking skills by Arabic language teachers in the sixth, the study also recommended the necessity of holding in- service training courses for teachers to train them in the use of various thinking methods, including lateral thinking.
