Psychometric characteristics of the Eysenk personality Questionnaire among students of the University
of Technology and Applied Sciences in Rustaq.

Abstract:
The study aimed at identifying the factorial validity and reliability of Eysenck Personality Questionnaireon a sample of Rustaq College of Educationstudents, Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study, the scalewas usedwith arandom sample of (394) students; 179males and 215females.The results of the study concluded by identifying Fourfactors that scalestatements were loaded with. The eigenvalue of the first factor was (7.9), and interpret a percentage of variance of (10.6%).Whereasthe eigenvalue of the second factor was (4.4), andinterpret a percentage of variance of (5.9%). Meanwhile,the eigenvalue of the third factor was (3.5), andinterpret a percentage of variance of (4.7%).Whilethe eigenvalue of the fourth factor was (2.9), andinterpret a percentage of variance of (3.98%).The number of Statements which loaded in each factor were;(17) Statements inF1, (24) Statements in F2, (13) Statements in F3, and (21) Statements in F4. The statements loaded ranged between (0.30 - 0.88).The study found a significant statistical indicatorwhich proved the scale quality and its psychometric characteristics.
